This is a new revised painting I did for the book “The Storyteller,” written by Nora Jaenicke. The story involves some equatorial African folk tale influence, with a mermaid-like goddess named Mamiwata. The first image on my website’s portfolio page shows the Mamiwata character underwater with the boy. I’m enjoying the change of scenery and subject matter. A lot of fun to work on.
